Where do you work, remote or on set?
I can work from anywhere. Most post happens remotely, but I travel for shoots whenever it helps. A lot of the time, being on set with a QTake workflow is a relief for everyone involved, because we all know immediately whether something works or not.
What software do you work with?
Primarily Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve in combination with Magnific AI for AI-assisted work.
What stage do you like to come in at?
As early as possible. I often edit previs or animatics that help develop transitions and give the crew on set a clear sense of what we're trying to achieve.
Are you more of an editor or a director?
I'm an editor at heart, but the line blurs more than people think. I've directed a handful of pieces, and even in the edit I'm often shaping creative direction. How far I lean into that depends on the project and the director I'm working with.
