Arrigo Reuss hit me up about editing four films for the Kleinanzeigen campaign, and I knew right away this was going to be a good one. Kleinanzeigen is basically a household name in Germany, everyone and their grandma uses it to buy and sell stuff, so getting to cut actual TVCs for them felt pretty special.
The face of the campaign was Maximilian Mundt, who you probably know from the Netflix series "How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)." That casting was genius, honestly. The whole idea was him giving these deadpan business tips on how to make money on an online platform, except this time it's secondhand jackets and vintage furniture instead of, well, other things. It cracked me up every time.
I edited five spots that ran as TVCs and across social media. The edit had to walk this really fun tightrope between parody and actual product storytelling. It needed to feel like a joke, but also genuinely make you want to open the app and sell your old stuff. That balance was probably my favorite puzzle to solve across the whole project. Every cut, every beat had to land just right to keep it funny without losing the message.
The campaign ended up running everywhere: TV, out-of-home, digital, social, a true 360 degree rollout. Seeing my work on screen at that scale was a real moment for me. Big thanks to Arrigo for bringing me on board.
